Company Description

We’re a people communications business who believes that people come first but with a big side helping of insight to prove what we do works. We’re a friendly, straight-talking bunch of experts who blend creative ideas with good old-fashioned client service to put smiles on the faces of our big name clients. We’re also a pretty exciting place to be right now. We’re growing fast and we’re winning clients quicker than ever, which is why we’re looking for an Account Director to join us and experience life at a different kind of comms agency.

Job Description

It’s not often that a once-in-a-career opportunity comes along. But this is one of those times.

We know that’s a big claim. But if you know your stuff when it comes to client service, you’ll understand that this is a big role. To begin with, very few agencies of our size (26 people, and counting) can boast a client list full of household names like we can. Even fewer have clients that bring their agency with them whenever they move (ours do, and often). And fewer still get to work on interesting projects that have a real purpose - and which deliver genuine feel-good results (while also helping to make the world a better place, too).

We are one of those agencies.

Like we said, we’re growing fast, but we’re still small enough for everyone to make an impact and to really get involved. This role is no exception. It’s all about good leadership, taking ownership of the creative and strategic direction of key accounts and clients, and drawing on your experience to squeeze the most value out of the long lasting relationships we’ve built.

You’ll influence and persuade at every level. You’ll build industry-leading insight, and you’ll deliver results to match. All while thinking on your feet and inspiring everyone around you.

When it comes to the day-to-day, you already know the story. You’ll manage and nurture accounts and projects so that we always get the job done, on time and on budget. You’ll lead on all things commercial, and take responsibility for profitability, budgets and forecasts. And, as a senior and more experienced member of the agency, you’re a pro when it comes to identifying new opportunities and developing new business, and coaching and mentoring a team.

Qualifications

We’re looking for agency experience - and lots of it. Ideally you’ll already have some exposure to the talent and people comms sector too, but it’s not essential. What’s most important is that you’re a great communicator, relationship builder and decision maker, and that you’re confident enough to get stuck in to the challenges that come with the territory.

And if you can bring a fresh, organised and proactive approach, and lots of passion and positivity for our industry, you’ll be exactly what we need to motivate and inspire everyone around you to keep pace with our growth.

Additional Information

In return, we offer a competitive salary with a banding based on skill and experience, bonus scheme, private health insurance, season ticket loan, and all the personal and professional development you can eat. We're based in a converted mill just 15 minutes' walk from Leeds city centre. But we work a mix of home and office based and when we can, we’ve an appetite for all things social, enjoying a little more than our fair share of work events, drinks, nights out, and away days, too.

We passionately believe in an inclusive workplace, and welcome applications from everybody regardless of gender, race, religion, sexuality, age or disability.
