Hybrid Working, Chester, Cheshire

Job Description

Are you creative, ambitious and passionate about design? Do you secretly look at the menu design when you eat out or the packaging when buying a new product? If the answer is yes, read on!

This role will see you responsible for developing creative concepts and solutions, alongside our team of talented designers. We get involved in lots of exciting projects, working in both digital and print mediums across multiple platforms, such as exhibitions, websites, video and creative campaigns. No two days are ever the same, which makes the job more interesting!

If you’re motivated and love a challenge, it’s a great opportunity to join a well-established design agency, based in Chester. We invest in our people, and we move mountains for our clients, both here in the UK and beyond. As a company, we’ve been around for over 30 years, so we have a few stories to tell!

Working as part of the design team, you will be responsible for developing a range of creative materials, for both clients and our own brand. It’ll be your job to bring the brands we work with to life, coming up with new ideas and presenting your work with passion and enthusiasm.

In addition, we’re looking for evidence of the following, or a willingness to learn:

  • A solid working knowledge of Mac OS X and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good composition skills when creating document layouts and using typography
  • The ability to visualise and verbalise your ideas to the team and to clients
  • A good understanding of the latest trends and technologies
  • Pro-activity, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and under direction as a team player
  • A willingness to contribute to the skills and well-being of the team and the business as a whole
  • Good time management skills with a basic awareness of budgets and deadlines
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms

Qualifications

Ideally a degree in design would be preferable, but not essential. Some of the best designers we have, aren’t classically trained! Ideally some experience in the industry (work placement or otherwise), would be helpful too.

Are there benefits?

Of course, there are! Aside from bonuses, you’ll get to work alongside a fantastic bunch of creatives. There will be regular team outings (boozy mini-golf, escape rooms and treetop adventures to name a few), plus there’s the chance to visit exotic locations like the NEC in Birmingham!

How to apply

If you think you can add something to PDL and have the skills, drive and personality to make it happen, we want to hear from you. Email talk@partnershipdesign.co.uk to tell us why we should invite you for an interview and please remember to include your portfolio.
