Job Description

Are you interested in the world of design and marketing? Do you have the skills to support and manage some of our top-notch clients? If the answer is yes, read on!

The role will see you responsible for planning, managing and implementing a range of creative solutions alongside our lovely team.

We get involved in lots of exciting projects, working in both digital and print mediums across multiple platforms, such as exhibitions, websites, video and creative campaigns. No two days are ever the same, which makes the job more interesting!

If you’re motivated, enthusiastic and love a challenge, it’s a great opportunity to join a well-established design agency, based in Chester. We invest in our people, and we move mountains for our clients, both here in the UK and beyond. As a company, we’ve been around for over 30 years, so we have a few stories to tell!

Working with our team, you will be responsible for keeping our clients happy - delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest standards, meeting the client’s brief and all internal milestones along the way.

What we expect from you

  • Provide support to the Account Managers and Directors on larger-scale projects as well as personally managing smaller accounts
  • Show an understanding of client businesses/products and be able to confidently discuss them
  • Establish and grow client relationships, both new and existing
  • Research locations for events and congresses, and offer ideas for meetings and delegate entertainment
  • Engage with design team on a daily basis, keeping a good handle on your projects
  • Keep a log of time spent on specific tasks each day - we use Streamtime (which you would be trained in using) but prior knowledge of using CRM systems would be preferable
  • Liaise with suppliers and event organisers, managing deadlines and communicating these both internally and externally to clients
  • Create and update project plans and task lists

Skills and competencies

  • High level of organisation with an excellent eye for detail
  • Good understanding of branding, design, digital and marketing processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, prioritise and deliver well under pressure
  • Be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads
  • Adopt an open-minded attitude to change, and be quick to learn and implement new ideas
  • Demonstrate a desire to grow areas of responsibility/expertise
  • Act in an appropriate, professional and respectful manner at all times
  • Willingness to travel (sometimes out of hours) to oversee exhibitions and events
  • Full UK driving license (for client meetings)

Are there benefits?

Of course, there are! Aside from bonuses, you’ll get a shiny new Macbook Air to plan all your awesome projects. There will be regular team outings (boozy mini-golf, escape rooms and treetop adventures to name a few), plus there’s the chance to visit exotic locations like the NEC in Birmingham!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (in business or marketing would be a bonus but not essential)
  • Some industry experience or work placement
  • Two references
