Cornerstone Design and Marketing is a full-service creative and strategic agency delivering integrated campaigns across PR, branding, digital, advertising and design. We work with a wide mix of B2B and B2C clients, including manufacturing, community leisure, healthcare, pharma and the public sector.

Our PR team works closely with marketing strategists, digital and design colleagues to create campaigns that go beyond earned media alone - combining strong storytelling, messaging, content and media activity to support wider marketing objectives.

This role will play a key part in maintaining and developing PR activity across established B2B and B2C clients, while also supporting new opportunities as the team evolves.

The role

This is a hands-on, mid-level PR and copywriting role suited to someone with previous agency / journalistic / media buying experience who enjoys variety and responsibility. It’s suited to an all-rounder who leads with writing and storytelling. You’ll work across organic PR and paid media, content creation and campaign messaging with opportunities to our growing services such as out-of-home (OOH).

We’re looking for a self-starter who can work strategically and quickly understand different sectors, spot opportunities and produce high-quality work - while still being supported by a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic organic PR, paid media and content activity for a range of B2B and B2C clients.
  • Write strong, engaging copy across multiple formats, including:
    ·       Press releases and feature articles
    ·       Website and SEO-led content
    ·       Campaign messaging and positioning
    ·       Paid advertorials and sponsored content
    ·       White papers, case studies and brochures
  • Contribute to campaign ideation, helping shape key messages, story angles and creative approaches
  •  Support the development and delivery of PR strategies in line with wider marketing objectives
  • Turn client insight into timely, media-relevant commentary
  • Proactively identify media opportunities, trends and timely story ideas relevant to client sectors
  • Pitch stories to journalists and manage ongoing media relationships where appropriate
  • Support media planning and buying activity, including research, title selection, briefing and evaluation
  • Assist with the development of OOH and other paid media activity as the service offering grows
  • Work closely with our digital, strategy and design teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
  • Work closely with in-house colleagues to pursue business and campaign opportunities
  • Advise on and conduct crisis management where necessary
  • Monitor and report on coverage and campaign performance using media monitoring tools, reporting against agreed KPIs and objectives
  • Use insight and analysis to refine messaging and improve future activity
