About Integrated Marketing Analytics (IMA)
Integrated Marketing Analytics (IMA) is the analytics intelligence and measurement function within Monks’ Data and Digital Media practice. IMA is accountable for how performance is measured, how insights translate into business decisions, and how the full breadth of Monks’ capabilities comes to life inside each account. IMA combines deep measurement expertise with the senior client-advisory practice - and is the engine through which client trust compounds into long-term growth. As AI reshapes consulting delivery and marketing measurement, IMA leads that shift across the practice. IMA serves four client archetypes - Global Accounts, Content Accounts, Media-First Accounts, and Marketing/Web/CRM/Tech and AI-Implementation - with a consistent operating model and leadership standard across all four.
This level is for developing leaders who make significant contributions through deep expertise and strategic execution. It spans three related titles: Associate Director and Lead on the management path, and Principal on the senior individual-contributor path. Individuals here lead teams or operate as senior ICs, spearheading complex projects aligned to long-term objectives, providing input into strategy within their function, and beginning to carry account-economics accountability - workstream profitability, scope discipline, and growth signals - ahead of full P&L ownership at Director. On the individual-contributor path, Principal is the senior technical-authority apex of the practice - a peer in influence to the management titles - creating value through methodology leadership, productized IP, and delivery economics rather than through P&L ownership.
The work differs by team - Global Accounts, Content, Media-First, or Marketing/Web/CRM/Tech - but the standard is consistent: own complex, high-stakes work; influence outcomes across functions or client portfolios; and start to think and act like an owner of the relationship, not just the deliverable.
Lead complex projects or programs end to end across one or more accounts - shaping the approach, orchestrating the team, and owning the outcome at a senior level.
Take first-line accountability for the economics of your workstreams - utilization, scope discipline, and margin within your remit - and partner with account leadership on planning and resourcing.
Provide input into strategy within your function and influence outcomes across functions or client portfolios. Connect the analytics to the client’s broader business agenda.
For the senior-IC path: serve as a senior expert and authority whose depth shapes the practice, leads the most demanding work, and sets methodological direction.
For the management path: lead a team, own delivery quality across multiple workstreams, develop talent, and manage performance within your remit.
Hold senior working relationships and at least one executive-adjacent relationship. Identify and qualify growth opportunities, and bring them to account leadership with a defined client need and rough scope.
Identify qualified AI use-cases, build early business cases, and integrate Monks.Flow and partner platforms into how the team delivers and how clients measure.
7+ years in analytics, consulting, or strategic advisory across agency, holding company, or in-house at scale
Track record leading complex projects or programs, or recognized as a senior expert in domain
Emerging account-economics literacy - utilization, scope, margin within a remit
Demonstrated influence across functions or client portfolios
For the AD/Lead track: experience leading and developing teams
Credible senior client relationships and the ability to advise, not just deliver
Quantified contribution to account growth or scope expansion
Recognized domain authority - frameworks, methods, or thought leadership
Experience integrating GenAI or agentic platforms with measurable outcomes
Shipped productized methodology or accelerator beyond a single account
Senior platform partnership experience (Google, Meta, Adobe, Amazon, or similar)
Cross-domain experience across more than one IMA practice area
