Job Description

WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

THE ROLE:

The Creative Analyst role is centered around rigorous creative testing with a goal of supporting the continued growth of client accounts across multiple digital ad platforms. You will serve as an expert on creative best practices and visual elements that impact advertising performance, and you’ll ensure adherence to an in-house creative testing methodology rooted strongly in data. You’ll conduct thorough creative analysis, make creative recommendations, and work closely with both Media and Design teams to help us deliver high-quality creative quickly, and at scale. You’ll build strong rapport with clients and internal teams to help drive impactful creative decisions.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record working with data, has strong attention to detail, and loves using data to help tell a story. Having direct experience with managing Google Ads Display/GDN/UAC ad creative is a plus. This candidate should also feel comfortable and confident when communicating with clients. This individual will report directly to the Creative Strategist.

You will need to be quick on your feet, able to adapt to an ever changing, fast-paced, growing environment, and handle critical tasks that enable growth for our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Working with the Creative Strategist to drive creative strategy for a large-scale account located in many countries; working directly with the Creative Strategist to provide insights from data that could guide a new or existing strategy

  • Contributing to strategic creative testing roadmaps for account (by geo); assisting with the development of testing hypotheses, and brainstorming new ideas that will have a positive impact on the account

  • Assisting with Creative brief development in accordance to the creative testing roadmap

  • Creating a constant feedback loop between internal and external teams with organized documentation of all creative performance and tests

  • Working with Creative Strategist to prepare and present creative audits to clients through creative performance analysis, competitive research and persona development

  • Assisting Creative Strategy with preparing creative agendas for internal and external meetings on a weekly basis

  • Taking initiative to perform data deep dives and presenting unique findings that will push the account forward

  • Producing thought leadership for 3Q Marketing purposes: blog posts, case studies, white papers, webinars

  • Continually working with Creative Strategy, Project Management and Account teams to make processes smoother, build documentation, and produce case studies

Note: This is not a Design role. While some experience in Design is a plus, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the business side of producing advertising creative at scale for clients.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • A minimum of 1 year media buying experience in visually-driven online channels

  • Experience using data to fuel creative testing recommendations; knowledge of testing methodologies

  • An impressive knowledge of visual advertising platforms in Display (GDN) and Mobile (App Campaigns)

  • Strong, professional and verbal communication skills (you should be more than comfortable speaking to clients and internal stakeholders)

  • Comfortable working with clients and leading client calls

  • A ‘creative eye’, and passion for the creative aspect of digital marketing

Additional things that will impress us:

  • Experience working directly with Creative Services + Production teams
