**Motion Graphic Animator **
A Junior Motion Graphic Animator is focused not only on 2D character animation but also motion graphics, typographic animation, and video editing. The artist should take ownership of their assigned tasks from concept to final execution, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality results under the guidance of senior team members. As the industry evolves, so does this role. Animators must continuously learn generative AI tools and maintain a current understanding of new market trends.
As part of the animator job description, you’ll edit videos and animate assets for social media and video platforms for multiple clients, learning how to work with and optimize production templates that help our global animation team perform better.
Also, as part of a dedicated client team or the CoE (Center of Excellence), you'll be integrated into a comprehensive, flexible production operation, collaborating with Monks across all disciplines to produce outstanding work. This offers the opportunity to partner with and learn from top artists, creative directors, producers, and illustrators to create global content.
You are at the beginning of your career journey as an animator or motion graphics artist with experience in editing videos. Bonus if you have some experience in character animation, 3D animation (Cinema 4D / C4D), storyboarding, and AI software. An online portfolio and/or work samples are required for consideration.
You are willing to complete a mandatory technical test to validate your basic software knowledge.
You are able to translate briefs and copy into clean pieces of work.
You are experienced working in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
You have some experience or strong interest in Generative AI tools such as Runway, MidJourney, Whisk, Firefly, or Google AI.
You can deliver tight work, even under tight deadlines.
When it comes to animation, you know how to do the basics right, or break ’em for artistic effect.
Next to the language of motion, you can make yourself clear in Intermediate English too, because the job’s not just about technical artistry (no direct client contact required).
You can work independently and excel as part of a team, skillfully sharing your progress, problems, and pitfalls with the team alongside your favorite GIFs.
To excel in this role, you have to be a team player, skilled in communicating problems and progress, and practiced in working together with juniors and seniors alike.
Task Focused & Creating Assets: You will focus mainly on post-production tasks, editing videos, and animating received assets rather than designing from scratch.
Supervised Execution: You will start making projects and executing animation deliverables under the supervision and guidance of experienced Monks.
