5WPR is excited to announce our 2026 People Operations Summer Internship Program!
Designed as a hands-on introduction to People Operations within a fast-paced agency environment, this program is ideal for students eager to gain real-world experience supporting the full employee lifecycle at a top independent, full-service Public Relations agency in New York City. This internship offers valuable exposure to how People Operations drives talent acquisition, employee engagement, development, and overall agency culture.
We’re looking for detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated students with a strong interest in Human Resources and People Operations who are ready to learn and contribute from day one. Throughout the summer, the intern will gain practical People Operations experience while working closely with our HR and Talent teams.
Overview & Responsibilities
As a People Operations Intern at 5WPR, you’ll support the agency’s people operation functions and collaborate with teams across the organization. Responsibilities may include:
Help coordinate onboarding processes and new hire documentation
Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs
Support internal communications and culture-driven initiatives through culture committee and employee resource groups
Maintain and organize employee records and HR files through our shared drive and HRIS
Contribute to HR reporting and process documentation
Assist with policy updates and special People Operations projects
Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communications
Support resume screening and applicant tracking system (ATS) management
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand how People Operations supports agency growth and retention
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
Strong interest in Human Resources or People Operations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Compensation & Details
Paid internship
Anticipated hourly rate: $18–$20/hour
Hybrid, part-time role with on-site work in our NYC office
Program dates: June 8 – August 13, 2026
