The Senior Social Media Manager is the agency's expert on social media, content distribution and influencer marketing. The role leads complex, multi-channel social programmes for senior clients, mentors Social Media Managers and Junior Social Media Managers, and partners with the Content and Press Lead on social strategy and growth. The Senior Social Media Manager balances creative ambition with measurable, data-driven outcomes.
Strategic leadership:
Lead the planning and delivery of the agency's most complex social media programmes for senior clients
Develop social strategy, content frameworks and best practices for the agency
Mentor and develop Social Media Managers and Junior Social Media Managers; share trend knowledge and craft
Champion continuous innovation in formats, platforms and emerging social technologies
Senior client partnership:
Act as senior advisor to clients on social strategy, content distribution and influencer integration
Lead senior client meetings and presentations; defend creative ideas and platform recommendations
Translate client business goals into long-term social strategies and measurable outcomes
Be the guardian and shaper of brand voice, tone and visual identity across all social touchpoints
Project oversight and quality:
Manage social and influencer campaigns end-to-end; optimise in flight and produce post-campaign reports
Quality-assure all major social content produced by the team — written and visual
Oversee allocation of junior resources to maximise team performance and learning
Contribute hands-on to content writing, briefing and quality assurance when required
Commercial and operational ownership:
Manage scope, estimates, billing and profitability for senior social projects
Identify and act on opportunities to grow social revenue across the portfolio
Contribute to new business pitches with the Content and Press Lead
Using the Timesheet logging system to report worklogs and project status
Proactively take part and clearly communicate through the full project lifecycles
5+ years of social media experience in an agency or in-house environment, including team mentoring
Proven track record leading large-scale, strategic social media programmes with measurable business impact
Deep expertise across all major social platforms, content formats and emerging technologies
Strong commercial acumen — comfortable with scope, estimates, billing and supplier contracting
Outstanding writing skills in Hungarian; fluent English — written and spoken
Strategic thinker who balances creative ambition with data-driven outcomes
Expert user of social analytics, social listening, scheduling and emerging AI tools
Strong presentation, negotiation and senior stakeholder management skills
Meta Blueprint or equivalent platform certifications are highly valued
University degree, preferably in communication, marketing, media or related field
