**Role: **Social Media Manager
**Location: **Kingston — onsite 3 days/week
About the role:
You’re a social native who knows how to connect FMCG/foods brands with the communities that love them. As the cultural navigator for 3 global sweet-treat food brands, you’ll translate consumer insight into social storytelling that entertains and inspires. You think ahead, take initiative to test fresh approaches, and stay on top of trends.
You’ll take briefs and trends and turn them into compelling social concepts, guide content creation with our content creator and wider creative team, monitor performance and pull the right levers to continually improve and optimise. You collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, and are a confident social expert colleagues and clients can lean on for guidance.
What you will be doing:
Listening and engagement
Respond to consumer comments and questions in brand tone to drive engagement and brand love
Provide on-brand replies to influencer and consumer @mentions
Monitor trends, community conversations and creator content to spot opportunities for entertaining brand responses
Content
Monitor feeds for timely, culturally relevant insertion points for the brand
Identify new influencer partners
Lead identification and fast orchestration of reactive opportunities
Write copy for organic and paid posts
Collaborate with content creators on concepts and lead content briefs
Ensure all content follows platform best practice and is platform-native
Propose fresh content ideas to increase community engagement
Use social listening to understand community conversations and translate insights into content
Planning and client partnership
Receive and interrogate client briefs and support brief development for creative teams and partners
Help craft tone-of-voice guidance, FAQs and copy for brand channels
Support development of social channel strategy workstreams
Plan and produce social content calendars
Present content ideas and social strategy to clients
Track and report on content performance and analytics
What you need to be great in this role:
At least 3 years’ experience in agency or client-side brand marketing through social media
A well-rounded creative who is always innovating and initiating
Attuned to cultural zeitgeist and able to spot opportunities to tell brand stories
Level-headed, strategic thinker
Entrepreneurial and proactive — able to spot content opportunities that help clients meet business goals
Enthusiastic about integrating Gen AI tools and curious about new innovations
Strong creative flair, excellent written communication and copywriting skills
Nuanced, practical knowledge of social platforms and how brands can use them for commercial results
Keen interest in digital trends and popular culture
Highly organised, comfortable under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities
