The opportunity

The Automation & Tooling Engineer is responsible for designing and building the digital capabilities that power the Transformation Office. This role develops intelligent automation solutions, governance platforms, AI-enabled workflows, reporting automation, and self-service tools that improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making

What you’ll be doing**

Build the Digital Operating Platform

  • Design and enhance scalable digital solutions that support portfolio governance, executive reporting, resource planning, and strategic program execution.

  • Develop intuitive business applications that improve productivity, collaboration, and decision-making.

Drive Intelligent Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes across governance, reporting, approvals, task management, notifications, and business workflows.

  • Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and execution quality.

Enable AI-Powered Productivity

  • Integrate AI into business processes to improve reporting, decision-making, workflow automation, content generation, and knowledge management.

  • Prototype and implement AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value and improve executive productivity.

Automate Data and Reporting

  • Build digital solutions supporting portfolio governance, milestones tracking, risk management, dependency management, action tracking, and executive decision logs.

  • Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Develop Governance Tooling

  • Build digital solutions supporting portfolio governance, milestone tracking, risk management, dependency management, action tracking, and executive decision logs.

  • Standardize governance tools that improve visibility, accountability, and execution consistency.

Partner Across Business and Technology

  • Collaborate with Strategy, Program Management, Data and Insights, IT, Data Engineering, Information Security, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.

  • Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly with enterprise platforms and processes.

Drive User Adoption

  • Develop user enablement materials, provide onboarding support, and continuously improve solutions based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.

Establish Technology Standards

  • Define development standards, automation frameworks, documentation, and governance practices that ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

  • Promote best practices for low-code development, workflow automation, and AI integration.

Foster Continuous Innovation

  • Stay current with emerging automation, AI and low-code technologies, continuously identifying opportunities to modernize business operations and improve organizational agility.

What we want from you

  • 5–8 years of experience in Automation Engineering, Business Systems, Digital Transformation, Solution Development, or Technology Consulting within a global technology or SaaS organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise automation solutions that improve business operations and operational efficiency.

  • Strong expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and modern low-code/no-code development platforms.

  • Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, web services, connectors, middleware, and enterprise collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered automation and enterprise AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, OpenAI, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of SQL, data integration, reporting automation, and modern cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Logic Apps, or Azure Functions.

  • Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or C#.

  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, with a strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow optimization, and operational excellence.

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices, DevOps, enterprise integration architecture, API management, and robotic process automation (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate Desktop, Automation Anywhere).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate or equivalent certification.

  • Experience building enterprise applications supporting governance, portfolio management, project management, or business operations.

  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, strategic programs, or large-scale business modernization initiatives.
